Four Years Later…the “Sex” is Still Good

•June 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

It’s been four long years since we said goodbye to the fab foursome of “Sex and the City”.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) continue on their journeys through life, love, and New York City, while we sit longing to connect with our girlfriends at trendy nightspots in designer dresses. Well, ladies and gents, the wait is Finally over. The girls are back and it feels like they never left at all.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” is a complex marriage between what you want to happen and what you know is inevitable. The comedic appeal is present but takes a backseat to the dramatic reality of these women’s personal lives. You witness the challenges and heartbreak each character encounters as they come to grips with aging, marriage, and friendship. The emotional roller coaster has plenty of pleasurable stops along the way. Embarrassing mishaps and naughty neighbors will lift your spirits along with fresh, witty double entendres to keep you entertained.

For those of you who rely on these fashion forward ladies to whet your appetite for style, you will not be disappointed. From one scene to the next, Sarah Jessica Parker steps out dressed to the nines with a poise and confidence that implies her destiny as a fashion icon. Her co-stars don’t hide in the shadows of her couture gowns or $500 pumps. Each character displays an impeccable wardrobe that emphasizes their individuality and vibrant personalities.

Enjoy the New York City backdrop while getting reacquainted with old friends and boyfriends. Revel in a loving hatred for the illustrious Mr. Big, a fond admiration of Harry, the sweet sensibility of Steve, and outrageous sex appeal of Smith.

“Sex and the City” is the movie you always hoped it would be.
